Trader Joe's Pineapple Juice Comparison

Updated: Jun 10, 2020

Trader Joe's always comes out with seasonal juices, and one of my favorite is the pineapple juices that they carry in summer! A lot of people have asked me what I have thought about the different pineapple juices, so I went ahead and tried all three so that I can tell you what I thought. I also did a video comparison on my IG if you want to check that out. So here is my official Trader Joe's Pineapple Juice Comparison!

Pineapple Juice Carton

The first juice that I tried was the pineapple juice in the large carton. This juice is $3.99 for 52 oz. so a good bang for your buck. One of the first things I noticed is that the only ingredient is pineapple juice, which is great to see. I don't like any added sugar or other things in my juice! This option tastes very fresh and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this juice out of the carton.

4 Pack Canned Pineapple Juice

The next pineapple juice that I tried was the canned pineapple juice. It comes in a 4 pack and is $2.99. Again, the only ingredient in this juice is the actual pineapple juice which is what I like to see. This one tasted slightly watered down, and not necessarily what I thought a pineapple juice should taste like. The pineapple flavor was definitely more subtle in this one. It also had a slightly interesting smell that I was surprised by. If I wanted to provide individual mixers at a party, I would choose this option.

Cold Pressed Pineapple Juice

I had heard from so many people that this was their favorite of the three options so I was definitely excited to try! My first reaction to this jiuce was that it was too sour! It was definitely more tart than the other two options which might be other people's preference but not me - I prefer the sweeter option! Again, the only ingredient was pineapple juice - it's interesting that all options can taste so different when pineapple juice is the only ingredient in all of them! This option was also $2.99 but for only 12 oz., it definitely is the most expensive.

Out of all three, I will definitely be purchasing the carton as my go to option! It is easily the best bang for your buck and to me tastes exactly what a pineapple juice should taste like - sweet and fresh!

Have you tried these juices yet? What do you think?
