Chocolate Brooklyn Babka: 9/10
Babka is a sweet, fluffy, layered dessert with Jewish roots. It reminded me of Rugelach, but fluffier. I received a lot of messages from you all saying that Brooklyn is the Babka capital of NYC and this #babka was a great representation of what you have had there. The wavy, marbled layers of chocolate make this Babka look absolutely mesmerizing. I really enjoyed this dessert and liked how each layer I pulled apart was chocolatey and fluffy. The chocolate was not too sweet and would be amazing paired with a morning cup of coffee. The only reason I didn’t rate it higher was it was slightly dry for me, which I know, based on Trader Joe’s inconsistency with bakery products, could just be the one I grabbed. This loaf is $4.99.
