It's officially Spring and that means it's time for Trader Joe's NEW Spring items! They have been talking about some of these products for a long time now, so I was very excited to see them start popping up on shelves.
1. Springle Jangle
The first item that I was most excited for this Spring was the Springle Jangle. One of Trader Joe's most popular holiday items is Jingle Jangle. When I heard they were making a spring version, I knew that I was going to buy AT LEAST 4 tins. Initially, I was slightly disappointed that it was not in the same cute tin as the Jingle Jangle, but figured since Springle Jangle is much less likely to be a gift, it makes sense. After actually seeing the product though, I was very impressed with how it looked and tasted. It definitely is a chocolate lover's dream and is a great sweet snack for the spring. You can read more about it in my post.
2. Honey Mustard & Onion Seasoned Pretzel Pieces
Another amazing product that was released this Spring, was the Honey Mustard & Onion Seasoned Pretzel Pieces. This was another product inspired by a holiday favorite, "Step up to the Bar Mix". The best part of that snack mix was the honey mustard pretzels.Trader Joe's answered our wish and created this amazing bag full of just those delicous pretzel pieces! These little bites are perfectly paired with a cold beer on a warm Spring day. You can read the full review here.
3. These Sprinkles Walk into a Sandwich Cookie
The third product that Trader Joe's released this Spring were the "These Sprinkles Walk into a Sandwich Cookies". They grabbed my attention by how cute they looked, but I was worried they would be overy sweet. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious these little cookies were! The sweetness of the buttercream filling was balanced out with by the crumbly melt-in-your-mouth butter cookie exterior. I will be enjoying these all spring time long! 4. Synergistically Seasoned Popcorn
The fourth product that Trader Joe's came out with this Spring was the "Synergistically Seasoned Popcorn". This was probably the most disappointing product for me to launch this Spring. It is a popcorn seasoned with a variety of spices that give it an odd flavor - the paprika and white vinegar flavors were definitely the most apparent and left a weird, tangy, acidic flavor in my mouth that I didn't really enjoy too much. You can read my full review of the product here.
5. Watermelon Spread
The last new product that I have tried this Spring is the Watermelon Spread. Generally I would say that I'm a fresh watermelon fan, but this spread tasted too artificial for me - very similar to a watermelon jolly rancher. While I didn't necessarily dislike it, it's probably not something that I will be purchasing again. The flavor was too sweet and candy like for me to use it similarly to other jams. The consistency reminded me of a jello almost. You can read my full review on the product here.
6. Ube Mochi Pancake & Waffle Mix
This was another product that I was so excited to try since I loved the Ube Ice Cream. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this mix as much. It was way too chewy for my taste and not very flavorful. When I prepared the mixture, it was a super bright pink color and smelled almost like cotton candy, so I was expecting it to be fairly sweet, but once I cooked it, it had little to no flavor. I absolutely love when Trader Joe's launches all their new products and I can't wait to try all of them! Let me know what you want me to review next!
